Meet the Cast

Storme Clarke

Lexie

When I first saw the casting for the role of Lexi, I instantly fell in love with the character. Lexi reminded me of me. A person of colour who is trying to find their way in this world and except the challenges that they face head on. The role was perfect especially for the fact that the role of Lexi is someone who had to be tall. I am a tall person myself and I understand the struggles that come with it, especially with dancing. Your height makes you stand out, you move differently, you look different from everyone else. I’ve also always wanted to share my story in a way through film. Moon in the daytime gave me a chance to shine light on how it is to be a POC/tall dancer.

Jonathan Payne

Mr. Q

Hi there! I'm Jonathan, or Jon, but my Mom prefers Jonathan. I've been performing ever since I was a kid: church musicals, improv groups, lip-sync battles, the whole deal. Over the years, I've had the privilege to be a part of my peers' projects by acting in them. It's just do dang fun.

Mr. Q is the type of character that I love seeing in stories, I'd consider him the Uncle Iroh of Moon in the Daytime. I saw it as a challenge, with my limited dance experience, so that was a big draw for me as well, to take myself out of my comfort zone. Not to mention I would get to be involved in telling such an inspirational story!

Jadon Trelour

Madison

My name is Jadon Trelour (she/her), and I’m an LGBT dancer, actor and singer from Toronto. Being a theatre school graduate and a dancer, my performance experience has mostly come from musicals, plays, and dance works, but I have been a part of some short films and tv projects as well.

Though I love acting, dance will always be what I’m most passionate about, and I’m always looking for ways to incorporate it into the rest of my work. So, when I saw that Moon was a short film that incorporated dance, I immediately jumped at the chance to audition. Above all that, Moon tells a story that is extremely important and current and needs to be shared; I was so honoured to be able to help tell that story in my own way.
